Senior Manager for REACH Authorisation (all genders)

Your role: You are responsible for the authorization of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and other regulatory activities under the regime of the EU REACH but also including comparable REACH-like jurisdictions and emerging regulations (e.g. Turkey REACH). You assess the comprehensive Life Science portfolio for the presence of substances of concern along the entire SVHC process. Therefore, you interact closely with the digital transformation organization to continuously improve the digitalize assessment process and tools. You are also responsible to develop communication- as well as authorization strategies, support the business sectors to enable compliant marketability, production, and safe use of the respective Life Science products. You are delighted to solve the toughest problems in our exciting and fast-growing Life Science business in Regulatory Affairs based on in-depth industry knowledge and sound Regulatory Affairs expertise. In your day-to-day business you work on the identification, communication and defense of SVHCs substances in our Life Science portfolio. You lead international, cross-functional and cross-sectorial authorization projects. Furthermore, you act as an advisor and Regulatory Affairs representative for the “SVHC management” in cross-functional teams.

 

Who you are:

  • Graduate degree in Natural Sciences (e.g. toxicologist, biologist, chemist), PhD preferable
  • Min. 4 years of profound experience and expertise in the area of REACH regulation with special focus on SVHCs and authorization processes.
  • Very good project management, analytical and IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills (very good command of English; German will be an advantage), personally and through high quality documentation
