Your role: In this role, you will be at the forefront of the future of Oncology in our organization. Driving the execution of early clinical development programs, establishing a clear path to First in Man and Proof of Concept and related Go/No Go criteria. In this role you will supervise, manage and mentor Medical Directors and Clinical Research Scientists. You will drive the clinical development and strategy and prepare early clinical development plans, study concept sheets, and study protocols in collaboration with project team members. Participating in cross-functional development project team activities, you will provide medical/scientific input into business plan, project strategy and in-/out licensing activities. Externally, you will be liaising with principal investigators, health authorities, IEC/IRB, consultants, opinion/thought leaders and academic institutions. Attending international congresses and related workshops, you will contribute to increase scientific knowledge in the Clinical Oncology organization. You will also assist in organizing scientific development activities within Clinical Oncology, such as internal courses and inviting external speakers.
Who you are:
- You are a Medical Doctor (MD) board-certified in medical oncology, Hemato-Oncology background will also be considered
- You gained profound expertise in clinical drug development with sound knowledge in early development
- You gained 5+ years’ experience in clinical R&D as investigator and within the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry at an international level
- You have experience interacting with Health Authorities in Europe, US
- You possess in-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP and other applicable regulatory guidelines/practices.
- You have the ability to work and manage people in a matrix environment as well as experience in managing a team of >3 direct reports
- You are fluent in English
