Market Access Lead

 Your role: As Market Access Lead you will be responsible for the development and delivery of innovative value propositions and solutions to ensure optimal market access for the UK Merck portfolio (pre and post-license) to maximise commercial outcomes.

You will be responsible for engaging with and influencing key market access & policy stakeholders within UK (NHSE/NICE/ NHS Scotland/ SMC).

This role will provide leadership and support for the UK Business units commercial priorities to understand key areas of unmet need, market access and policy challenge and then deliver solutions to optimise the environment for the Healthcare portfolio.

 

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the global Market Access (GMAP) team to ensure that global deliverables take into consideration the needs and priorities of the UK
  • Ensure the realisation of local commercial objectives and advance the uptake of our products following positive recommendation achieved by the HEOR team
  • Work closely with Business Units to inform and input on the development of a product launch strategy
  • Develop and contribute to policy change within the UK environment through consultations and collaboration with the ABPI

 

Who you are:

  • A graduate with a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject.
  • A candidate with proven experience in Market Access and developing BU/brand solutions aligned to latest NHS policy and priorities
  • Experienced in understanding how brand value aligns with policy priorities and developing VP solutions
  • Experienced in policy, NHSE process and strategy
  • As strong cross functional worker with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Someone with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
  • Someone who is driven to achieve results and can work with a flexible attitude.
  • Forward thinking and creative in your approach to tackling new challenges.
  • Experience working in consultancy or for an NHS Trust would be beneficial, but not essential.
