Sales Account Manager

Your Role: As a Sales Account Manager, you will operate as part of the Applied Diagnostics Europe North team, you will meet or exceed set sales targets, through growing business with existing assigned or through identifying new accounts. You will be required to manage sales opportunities by generating and following leads as well as monitoring and taking action to close gaps against sales targets. You will need to develop an understanding of your customer’s business, their needs and goals which in turn will require teamwork with Field Sales Specialists, the Scientific Liaison Team, Customer Excellence, Technical Service, Marketing teams and other functions. 

The Sales Account Manager will need to build relationships with appropriate decision makers within Customers and manage sales negotiations. Provide performance reports and metrics and other data as required to customers and internally. Identify general areas for improvements to maximize customer satisfaction & efficiencies. The position is home based in either the UK,Ireland or the Nordics. It will involve limited travelling time for occasional customer visits or internal meetings 

 

Who you are:

  • Highly motivated by sales and self-directed.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Strong communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, and presentations skills.
  • Sales experience or Sales Support functions in the Life Science arena is preferable.
  • Scientific background is necessary to quickly acquire good knowledge of our products and applications.

 

This is a field based position and location is flexible.
