Operations Director

Your role

 

Reporting directly to the UK Head of Process Solutions Services business, your position is responsible for the operational activities of assigned departments and laboratories covering our sites in the Central Belt of Scotland.

Alongside your colleagues in the UK Site Leadership Team, you will facilitate the strategic goal alignment process and assist with the development and implementation of the business’ strategy initiatives. 

You will provide tactical leadership to the relevant functions; ensuring projects are adequately resourced with suitably trained and competent staff to deliver high value and excellent service to our clients.  

Working alongside the other Operations Directors, part of the role will also focus on improving and expanding our footprint to support our continued growth.

You will drive a culture of Operational Excellence; focused on continuously identifying opportunities for waste elimination, increased fixed asset utilization, and cost reduction. 

You will be responsible for driving special cross-functional continuous improvement projects in alignment with our strategic initiatives and our commitment to providing excellent service to our clients.  

 

Who you are:

 

  • Significant experience working within a Life Science and GLP/GMP laboratory or related environment
  • Proven track record in leading multiple departments
  • Excellent communicator 
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and coaching capabilities
  • Experience in working collaboratively with cross functional departments
