Your Role:
EMD Electronics is seeking a Supervisor for its North America Field Service team. The Supervisor will oversee Field Service Leads and Engineers working on systems at customer locations that maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LED's, and Flat Screen TV's. This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business.
The Supervisor will receive direction from the North American Field Service Manager and be responsible for cascading division goals, objectives, and directives to their area in gas, chemical or slurry systems. They will be accountable for the development, training, and certification of people, as well as execution of activities in the field. The Supervisor will also be responsible for the development of new business systems, implementation of services standards, provide customer solutions and work with commercial support staff.
- Act as key customer interface for departmental equipment service issues
- Cascades and supports organizational goals and objectives for the regional team
- Responsible for regions being staffed appropriately to perform the scope of service
- Handles time approvals for direct reports, including corrections and excused absences in the time management system
- Execution of the Basic Safety Process (BSP) program in their department
- Develops and maintains qualifications manuals and assign mentorship to help achieve technical growth in their department
- Communicates change in the department and accountable for change management across all regions
- Monitor safety processes/requirements for the site (perform spot checks and audits of their services group)
- Escalate/communicate issues to customers / commercial teams as required
- Facilitates incident investigations and drives corrective measures to closure with urgency
- Monitors department and field personnel based on key performance indicators
The Supervisor will be expected to work an in-office work schedule, typically Monday through Friday 7-4 with some off-hour support.
Physical Attributes:
- Be capable of traveling 50% of the time.
- Be capable of walking long distances during customer visits and facility tours (2-3 miles)

Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years internal experience on the Megasys Team or other Industrial/Semiconductor experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience overseeing field service employees
- Valid US Passport
- Valid driver’s license with no infractions over the past 36 months
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Continuous improvement experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with gas and/or chemical delivery systems in ultra-high purity operation
- Strong technical aptitude
