Your Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotechnology, process engineering, and project management. The biotech process engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing bioprocesses to produce biopharmaceuticals. The position will also require performing operations in cleanrooms.

 

Other responsibilities may include: 

  • Develop and optimize bioprocesses for the production of biopharmaceuticals, including upstream and downstream processes
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate process parameters, troubleshoot process issues, and optimize process performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely completion of project milestones
  • Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure consistent and reproducible product quality
  • Participate in technology transfer activities to ensure successful implementation of bioprocesses in manufacturing facilities
  • Analyze and interpret data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments and provide technical expertise to support process improvements and innovation
  • Perform operations in cleanrooms, following established procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

 

Physical Attributes:

  • Work in cleanroom environments, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following strict procedures and protocols

 

This is a day shift 7am-7:30pm rotating days on a 2-2-3 schedule.

 

Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Biochemical Engineering

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in bioprocess engineering, with a focus on the development of biopharmaceutical processes
  • 1+ years of experience with upstream and downstream bioprocesses, including cell culture, fermentation, and purification
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control, design of experiments, and process modeling
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with technology transfer and scale-up activities
