Your Role 

At MilliporeSigma the Distribution Associate III loads and unloads freight, prepares materials for shipment, accurately documents shipments, and maintains and audits inventory. 

  • Operate required equipment to produce documents for workload. 
  • Locate, move, deliver or return all required materials to proper areas. 
  • Audit inventory locations to maintain inventory and location accuracy. 
  • Follow procedures to complete full location audits. 
  • Pack hazardous items for shipment to customer. 
  • Verify chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions. 
  • Prints and applies all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations. 
  • Condense, straighten, and maintain warehouse areas. 
  • Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot system issues, support new employee training, maintain a safe work environment by reporting hazards, operate powered and material handling equipment, receive and process incoming materials, scan and track inventory within shipping systems, prepare and verify shipments according to company procedures and DOT, IATA, and IMO regulations, select and process orders, and maintain accurate shipping and order records.

 

Physical Attributes

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs. 
  • Stand and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time. 
  • Wear PPE such as hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes. 
  • Work in an area that may be occasionally wet, humid, or abnormally hot or cold. 
  • Work near moving parts and near/ around toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms of liquids, solids, vapors or airborne particles. 

  

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED.   
  • 1 + years’ experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment. 

  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Shipping regulation knowledge or experience. 
  • Experience with hazardous materials. 
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Work independently or in a group collaborative setting. 
  • Operate PCs, scanners, printers, CRTs, shipping equipment (meters, tape machines, etc.) and various cutting instruments.  
  • Attention to detail.  
  • Work quickly and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-pace environment. 
  • Follow directions with a focus on Safety & Quality. 

 

Pay Range for this position: $21 -$33 per hour

 

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
