Your Role
This position is responsible for the detailed coordination and execution of manufacturing operations, including operating equipment as required and ensuring proper line opening and closing activities. The role serves as a role model for adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, actively participating in safety initiatives and supporting trainers, trainees, and training programs. The individual ensures compliance with all manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, batch records, and test methods, maintains a clean and organized work area, and communicates effectively with manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering teams to support process safety, product quality, and operational efficiency. Duties include:
- Expert understanding of product quality and process requirements according to the catalog number and manufacturing drawing.
- Demonstrates high product and process knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes.
- Coaching teams on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Full review and submission of completed lot records and process documentation, including processing of ROE’s, deviations, etc.
- Collaboration with external support functions, maintenance, quality, test labs, etc.
- Use of ERP system for review of transaction history and material composition reports, and completion of misc. transactions.
- Strong communication skills and leads shift changeover activities.
- Participates in process improvement projects as requested, applies Lean principles to problem solving.
- Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations.
Physical Attributes
- Exposure to high production output machinery and equipment in a production/plant environment.
- 100% Standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
- Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting – 40 to 50 lbs.
- Bend and twist as needed.
- Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
- Pass visual acuity testing in order to perform activities such as: preparing, entering, and analyzing data on paper and on a computer monitor; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices.
- Work in a clean room environment.
Weekend position Shift D Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6am - 6pm
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated performance.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills.
- Certified Trainer or equivalent training experience.
- Able to drive change and challenge the status quo.
- Advanced process knowledge and certified on multiple processes and auxiliary operations.
- Viewed as a SME/Role model for the team, considered a “Go to” Person in the department.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills.
- Certified yellow belt or equivalent and active participant in Lean six sigma activities.
- Completion of OSHA 10-hour general industry course or equivalent.
- Proven ability to independently and collaboratively lead and inspire high-performing teams, serving as a hands-on role model for operational safety, quality, and productivity, while effectively multitasking, communicating clearly, and utilizing intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
Pay Range for this position: $31-$54 per hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
