Recovery and Purification chemist

Recovery and Purification chemist (Jerusalem)

Within our matrix organization you will be part of the Downstream team at the cGMP facility.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player who will join an excellent multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers. The chemist to be hired will be involved in:

  • Work under different regulatory standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
  • Learning, Understanding and implementing into work the “Quality system” and “Regulatory Compliance” as dictated in Merck's SOPs.
  • Operating Organic and inorganic skids.
  • Monitor and report online records and results.
  • Perform troubleshooting
  • Perform routine maintenance to equipment in use.
  • Perform in process analytical assays
  • Perform recovery and purification processes of fermentation products (proteins as well as organic molecules).
  • Documentation of the manufacturing process.
  • Administration of manufacturing costs through Ma’ale and SAP systems.
  • Full Corporation with upstream team.
  • Order of raw materials, charging production costs, writing and reviewing of SOPs and production protocols.

 

Who you are:

  • Practical engineer, B.Sc or M.Sc (advantage) . in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or other relevant educational field
  • Experience in the industry (advantage)
  • Written skills in Hebrew and English
  • Strong interpersonal and communicational skills.
  • Learning capacity- able to learn fast the production processes and techniques.
  • Understanding principle operation and possibilities of core department equipment.
  • Excellent technical sense.
