Your Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and waste stream handling. This role ensures the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse while maintaining compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
  • Manage waste stream handling processes, ensuring proper segregation, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for waste management and recycling initiatives to minimize waste and promote sustainability.
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with inventory management practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Analyze warehouse performance metrics, including productivity, accuracy, and waste management efficiency, and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for waste disposal and recycling services, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports on warehouse operations, waste management, and sustainability initiatives to senior management.

Physical Attributes:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for the duration of the shift, up to 12 hours.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Business Management, or other Life Science or Business discipline.
  • 6+ years of Supervisory Experience within Warehouse Operations or Environmental Waste Operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse management systems, and waste stream handling practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
