Your role:
We are committed to embedding digital experiences in our operations as we advance towards a more digital future. To support our high-impact digital development projects, we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist. This role is critical in enhancing our R&D capabilities and driving innovation through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Connectivity: Access, connect, and prepare large datasets from multiple instruments, software, and ERP systems.
  • Data Handling: Collaborate with R&D scientists to process and visualize large datasets, making them accessible and understandable for scientific teams.
  • Development of Digital Prototypes: Build data models and application prototypes to be implemented by our software development organization, such as DiCE.
  • Project Leadership: Lead digital collaborations with IT partners (ACE/DiCE) and effectively communicate project needs and progress.

Impact:
This role is vital to the success of multiple high-value digital development projects across all of Upstream and Process Materials R&D. The Senior Data Scientist will lead efforts in projects such as Mconfig, AAV manufacturing prediction models, and the development of digital tools for formulation design.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Data Sciences related field
  • 5+ years proven experience in data science, with a strong ability to handle and process large datasets
  • Expertise in data visualization and the development of digital prototypes
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly in R&D and IT
  • Ability to lead projects and drive them to successful completion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Life Sciences industry
  • Advanced Degree in Data Sciences related field

Role can be based anywhere in the US or Germany

Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data. Should we decide to make an offer, we will consider several factors, including but not limited to your location, skills, experience, career level, and other job-related factors.  This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; paid time off; and paid holidays; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses.

Pay Range for this position is $114,600 - $172,000
