Location:

Production Process Engineer – Silica Materials is located on site at the Martin, SC facility with occasional domestic and international travel required to meet business needs.

 

Martin, South Carolina is in Allendale County bordering the beautiful Savannah River.  A community rich in history with over 50 historical sites to visit.  Stunning farms cover the landscape in this agricultural community.

 

Your Role:

EMD Electronics is a leader in the Silica business, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional quality. EMD is currently seeking a results-driven Production Process Engineer to join our team at the Martin, SC plant.

 

Reporting to the Martin Site Director, the Production Process Engineer will implement effective manufacturing processes, evaluate existing manufacturing processes, and ensure that our processes comply with industry specifications and regulations.

 

The Production Process Engineer is responsible for production and reliability, and will demonstrate extensive experience in optimizing equipment, reliability programs, data analysis and equipment/operations interface in a related field.   A top-notch Production Process Engineer will be an expert in streamlining manufacturing processes with a cost-effective approach.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with production management to ensure Manufacturing Technician adherence to procedures, implement error proofing, and drive process simplification.
  • Complete Automation proliferation while ensuring data integrity and ease of accessing data.
  • Implement robust production and reliability systems.
  • Be the plant lead for change control and validation post implementation.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and tools
  • Recruiting process specialists and training teams on the implementation of new processes
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and EHS regulations
  • Documenting processes and preparing progress reports
  • Support Capital Project work process to improve EHS, Production and Reliability of plant.

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or in an industry-related field of specialization
  • 5+ years' experience in process engineering in a manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in statistical methods and continual improvement processes with superb analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering Background
  • Proficiency in project management
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Implementing Reliability Systems
  • Great organizational, time management, and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Production efficiency improvement experience 
  • Self-motivated individual able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
