Segment Marketing Specialist (Microbiology)

You role:


Reporting to the Segment Marketing Manager ANZ you will be continuously striving to increase sales and profitability of the designated portfolio through the development and implementation of appropriate marketing campaigns for the segment.  With an ultimate accountability for the sales within the portfolio, you’re key responsibilities will include:

  • Development of Marketing strategy (segment campaigns), positioning and promotion plus implementation
  • Market research (products, competitors, prices, customer needs)
  • Customer visits
  • Internal management of stock and prices
  • Coordination of customised products with customers and production
  • Working with global teams and adapting global marketing strategies and product launches for the local market


Who you are:

  • An outstanding record of marketing experience and success gained in the Life sciences, and/or healthcare sectors
  • Minimum 5 years commercial experience in a marketing or sales role
  • Tertiary education in a scientific field is essential, preferably in a related field.
  • Marketing qualifications will be an advantage
  • 3-5 years of product management experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, and well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning, organising and time management skills
  • A high level of results orientation and always thrive for excellence
  • A valid driver’s licence
