Your Role:

The Associate Distribution Supervisor – 1st Shift in Milwaukee, WI will:

  • Shift Hours:  Monday – Friday 6:00am – 3:00pm (hours could be extended based on workload)
  • Provide leadership direction to the department under management guidance; assist with employee training, HR functions (including shadowing talent selection and performance/accountability discussions), employee relations (via effective communication), and the enforcement of company safety, work, and housekeeping standards.
  • Evaluate processes and methods to recommend and implement safety improvements, including ensuring employees are trained on the safe handling of hazardous chemicals.
  • Determine methods and procedures for new assignments (with guidance); manage safety and emergency response including active membership on emergency teams (e.g., Hazardous Materials, Medical, Evacuation, Chemical Spill), responding to emergency situations, addressing unsafe situations to prevent interruptions, and initiating near miss reports.
  • Conduct safety audits and provides feedback for both safe and unsafe actions.
  • Support departmental operations and supervisors by assisting with documentation management (training documents, SOPs, unit records, reports), resource/workload scheduling, cost control, and supply management; and actively promote/participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Help the department supervisor in ensuring the correct chemicals are received, stored, packaged, packed, and shipped to meet customer's expectations and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Learn, work with, and maintain compliance with all applicable company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations (including GDP, ISO, DOT, CFR, IATA, IMO, OSHA, DEA, and
  • Factory Mutual guidelines), and perform other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned. 

 

Physical Attributes:

 

  • May involve use of respirator when handling open chemicals.

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or other business field

                                                     OR

  • Associate’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other business field

                                                     OR

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4 + years of warehouse and/or supply chain experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong team player work ethic with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented professional that can efficiently prioritize and execute given tasks under tight deadlines
  • Experience in a Distribution Center or Chemical Manufacturing environment
  • Experience in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT) and SAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Six Sigma experience
