Your Role:
This role works split shift hours, generally from 10am-6pm. There will be times you will be expected to flex onto other shift hours on an infrequent basis (6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm; 10pm-6am). Specific job duties include:
- Supports and actively participates in the training and tracking of all packaging operators throughout the labeling, overpacking, kitting, and down-filling functions.
- Shares ownership of site and department new employee orientation with Site Engagement Manager and department leadership.
- Acts as coordinator for new employee orientation, tracks and ensures basic DOT/chemical handling onboarding
- Administers a weigh class, tracks and supports operators post-class development with their direct leadership.
- Maintains, progresses, and investigates new department training tools. Maintains physical and electronic documentation for audits and proof of training.
- Creates and optimizes floor procedures. Handles all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) controlled documentation adjustment and approval for the Packaging Department.
- Technically writes using computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Fulfills administrator functions in Mango, Chemsafe, and the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Supports Department Chemists by assisting with monthly safety meetings, Work Instruction creation, and equipment purchase/training.
- Troubleshoots and drives corrective actions through Trackwise for procedure related deviations.
- Organizes, plans, runs events and live trainings in the department.
- Executes live fill-room training involving the handling and portioning of hazardous chemicals into containers using safety equipment following protocols.
- Gowns in personal protective and safety equipment. Safely operates and troubleshoots varied down-filling semi-automated machinery. Assists leadership in operations.
- Manages administration of safety education and training within the department and leads departmental safety improvements.

- Properly wear & use PPE articles, including protective suits and respirators.
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Coursework in chemistry OR 1+ years of work experience using chemistry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other science discipline.
- Experience with training employees, leading groups, and public speaking.
- Ability to create, exhibit, and document procedures in a technical and understandable manner.
- Basic math skills, including use of the metric system.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn to use semi-automated equipment.
