Your role: To ensure the development, implementation and integration of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and serious accidents. In addition to maintaining the applicable Occupational Health and Safety and environmental certifications, in their duties, he/she must always follow the principles of Safety, Quality and Compliance, Service and Efficiency. You are responsible to provide advice and support to Management in matters of Safety, Health, Environment, Security and regulations on serious accidents. Establish and lead the strategy of Safety, Health, Environment, serious accidents and Security, and carry out the follow-up. Identification of the legal requirements for occupational health and safety and serious accidents, action plans definition and new requirements monitoring. Propose the objectives, goals, actions and follow-up for their achievement, to be approved by the management. Approval of the annual preventive activity planning, priorities and compliance monitoring, as well as the training program and ensure its compliance. Analyze global trends in accidents, incidents, occupational diseases, risk situations and environmental incidents, proposing preventive and/or protection measures, follow-up on implementation and effectiveness. Coordination and preparation of internal audits and certification of Safety, Health, serious accidents and the Environment and monitoring of corrective actions. Preparation of specific activities to make the organization aware of EHS. Establish and implement Occupational Risk Prevention. You will lead the EHS Team. We are looking for a strong personality with the willingness to drive and shape our strategy and who also feels comfortable working across all hierarchies up to Top Management.

 

Who you are:

  • You have a Bachelor of Chemical Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering or Chemical Technical Engineer
  • You have a Master's degree in environment and occupational risk prevention in the specialities of hygiene, ergonomics and safety
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as EHS Manager of a multinational Chemical, Chemical-Pharmaceutical company
  • You have experience and good knowledge in the ISO45001 and ISO14001 management systems. Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and related GMP guidelines and regulations
  • You have experience in the management of a Biological Treatment Plant and in the management and definition of fire-fighting requirements
  • You have strong business acumen, drive and agility; strong communication, presentation and project management skills to senior management
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading teams. Strong change driver and collaboration skills in experiences in successful management in a matrix organization across different functions while continuing the daily business.
  • Fluent level of English
