Your role:
At MilliporeSigma, the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor – 3rd Shift will supervise a staff of approximately 10-20 union employees in various job functions including Group Leader, Chemical Operator, and Chemical Filler. Job duties include:
- Shift hours: Sunday – Thursday, 10:45pm – 7:15am
- Manage production to meet production schedules in a safe and efficient manner
- Work closely with Production Planning to assure that customer demands can be successfully achieved
- Maintain proper batch directions and equipment operating procedures
- Function as department liaison on Engineering projects impacting production processes
- Assure that personnel follow all procedures and proper documentation practices
- Maximize productivity with an emphasis on quality control while minimizing costs
- Establish and maintain effective communications with employees and other departments such as Production Planning, QC, and Maintenance
Physical Attributes:
- Stand for long periods, use a computer terminal, climb stairs and ladders, and walk significant distances
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Operations, and other Life Science discipline
- 1+ years of experience in a chemical plant or similar industry
- 3 + years of operational and business experience
