Your Role:
MilliporeSigma is looking for a Process Development Scientist to join the Technical and Scientific Solutions team. The Process Development Scientist is part of a worldwide team of engineers and scientists reporting into the technical support group for MilliporeSigma’s Process Solutions business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proactively pursuing and performing process development studies for the purification of therapeutic proteins using MilliporeSigma technologies such as sterile, depth, tangential flow and virus filtration and chromatography.
- Involvement in filter selection and sizing, process optimization, and technology transfer activities associated with the purification of new pharmaceuticals.
- Provide consultation to customers through email or teleconference calls.
- Collaborate and work with customer process development groups in the Midwest region.
- Work collaboratively with a team of local MilliporeSigma account managers to provide technical expertise to local customers.
- Adequately document customer interfacing activities.
- Communicate and work effectively in cross-functional teams, influence technical approaches, and support strategy execution.
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or other life science discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development or technology implementation.
- 3+ years of downstream pharmaceutical development experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline.
- Experience writting experimental reports and other appropriate documentation.
- Exceptional hands-on laboratory, analytical, and technology skills.
