Your Role:
The Associate Director, US Oncology Patient Marketing, will develop and implement core US marketing launch activities directed at patients for a potential product approval in LA SCCHN. This indication represents a significant opportunity to address an unmet need with patients their caregivers.
This role will partner across key stakeholders (global, medical affairs, regulatory, legal, compliance, patient services, market access, marketing operations, training, sales, market research, etc.) to develop patient brand strategy and execute programs and tactics. This position reports into the Director, US Oncology and will work in close partnership with the broader LA SCCHN and oncology marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead patient strategy and develop tactical plans for key market-shaping and branded activities, determine budgets, timelines and metrics for program success to ensure brand launch success in collaboration with cross-functional partners
- Interpret and translate clinical data and market research insights for use in patient marketing materials
- Collaborate with broader oncology marketing team to ensure strategic alignment and execution across the EMD Serono oncology portfolio
- Cultivate strong relationships with patient advocacy groups, brand ambassadors, and external strategic partners in collaboration with patient advocacy and patient services
- Develop and execute full year patient advisory board plan to support business needs
- Partner with global digital health team to create and implement digital solutions for patients with LA SCCHN
- Support the development and execution of a patient support program in collaboration with patient services
- Partner with digital agency of record to develop strategy and execution for digital promotion and media
- Work with internal and external partners to define success metrics and analyze performance of marketing programs on an ongoing basis, ensuring plans are optimized as needed to improve impact, and develop recommendations for future plans
- Monitor and ensure all Medical Legal Review (MLR) processes are followed, and all programs are compliant with MLR guidance and corporate policies
- Lead partner agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets
- Own patient marketing budget
- Other duties as assigned
Location: Onsite- currently requiring 3 days in the office. The office is currently located in Rockland, MA but is moving to the Boston, MA Seaport in mid-2024.
Travel: Available to travel up to 30%
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 5+ years (or 3+ years with advanced degree) proven experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry brand marketing
- Prior in-line or equivalent patient marketing experience, with 2+ years in a product manager or relevant role
- US product launch experience
- Proficient in digital marketing and media tactics directed towards patients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oncology experience
- HCP marketing experience
- Management experience
- Experience managing or coordinating with speaker programming to patient / caregiver audiences
- Experience partnering with patient support program hub to ensure optimal patient experience
- Ability to lead projects and make key decisions without day-to-day oversight
- Ability to effectively prioritize projects & initiatives based on aligned business objectives
- Ability to think and act strategically, drive performance, foster relationships and build internal and external alignment
- Strong communications skills and track record of effective and influential presentations to external and internal stakeholders
- Initiative, creativity, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environment
- Possess strong business insight skills, as role is responsible for managing budgets, timelines, processes and procedures
- High ethical standards and personal integrity
