Marketing Director for Fertility Strategic & Lifecycle Planning

Your Role: 

The Marketing Director of Endocrinology and Fertility Strategy & Lifecycle Planning will report to the Senior Director, Marketing Lead for Fertility & Endocrinology and will be responsible for the development and implementation of the US short term and long term strategy/forecast for the Fertility and Endocrinology Portfolio including  1) lifecycle management 2) market development, and 3) Develop and lead a team of marketing professionals 4) Develop and articulate the strategy to educate patients and caregivers about the EMD Serono as the leader of reproductive medications, endocrinology and other services 5) management of the Fertility Technologies strategic and scientific partnership model – in collaboration with the US Medical team and the Global Brand Team.


Provide input into global lifecycle management activities in collaboration with Medical, regulatory, legal colleagues. Lead market development initiatives to expand the US Fertility and Endocrinology market opportunity, including advocacy, public affairs, communications initiatives. Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to global team.


  • Support the development of the brand framework (brand essence, personality, logo etc.), development of positioning, communications platform and key messages.
  • Take on additional projects and initiatives as needed to advance the brand’s goals and objectives.
  • Articulate vision for the brand and develops champions to bring it to life.
  • Manage and develop direct reports (and indirect matrix colleagues) in a way that empowers them to bring their best to the role, provides opportunities for growth and learning along with effective coaching and feedback, and supports high-level and impactful performance.
  • Participate in the submission, review, and approval process for key marketing initiatives
  • Work closely with multiple agencies to ensure effective execution

Who You Are: 


  • BA/BS
  • 10 to 12 years related marketing experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or equivalent experience in a consumer and/or professional marketing organization with increasing magnitude of responsibility
  • Experience managing vendors and contractors
  • Experience managing a marketing budget
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrative creative and innovative strategies for business development
  • Ability to access and influence various functional areas and motivate groups to actions through team building initiatives
  • Leadership skills in a matrix, and/or co-promote environment
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to translate medical information into succinct and impactful marketing messages
  • Collaborative work style and familiarity with core operating function (sales, marketing, regulatory, legal, medical, global marketing and co-promotion partners)
  • Ability to work in a high functioning, fast-paced, global business environment
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and have superior organizational skills
  • Able to perform normal and routine office duties
  • Willing to travel up to 30%; including some international travel
