Coordination Assistant, Toxicology

Your role

 

The Coordination Assistant provides administrative support related to the processing and distribution of protocol amendments, and other activities for departments within the Toxicology division.  The role also provides administrative support for the IACUC Committee which supports the Rockville PSS team.

  • Receives and distributes protocol amendments both internally and externally
  • Maintains filing associated with amendments to facilitate document information tracking
  • Ensuring recording and distribution of minutes of the IACUC committee
  • Coordinate activities of the IACUC committee – meetings, preparation for regulatory inspections, filing of required documentation
  • Ability to organize multiple activities simultaneously
  • Scanning of laboratory support records, equipment records, and all other documents required to be scanned
  • Transfer study reports and data to the appropriate departments onsite
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as appropriate or required

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
  • 1+ years’ experience in an office environment utilizing Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college desirable
  • Previous experience in maintaining and scanning of documents
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal
  • Organization skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and separately
  • Ability to handle confidential and propriety information with discretion
