Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Business Planning and Implementation, the Employee Engagement Communications Partner is responsible for developing and executing an internal global communications strategy that enhances employee engagement, leadership visibility, and organizational transparency. This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering effective messaging, managing communication channels, and driving awareness of key initiatives. Through strategic communication planning and execution, the Employee Engagement Communications Partner supports a culture of engagement, leadership, recognition, and collaboration across the Contract Testing Services organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a global internal communications strategy for the Contract Testing Services (CTS) business that supports employee engagement priorities, ensuring consistent, clear, and compelling messaging across all platforms.
- Partner with CTS leadership to enhance communication effectiveness, promote transparency, and continuously improve strategies based on data and feedback.
- Enhance CTS leadership visibility by developing strategic communications and messaging for organization-wide events such as CTS Connect Calls, Business Spotlights, and Panel Discussions, ensuring alignment with key business priorities and cultural initiatives.
- Lead the development and execution of leadership communications on CTS organizational changes, promotions, and recognition programs, creating engaging content that fosters transparency and supports business objectives.
- Partner with People Engagement Site Leads and the Program Manager to promote local and global internal engagement activities by developing and executing campaigns that increase participation, showcase event outcomes, and drive ongoing interest and involvement.
- Own and manage internal communication channels, including Viva Engage, EVA, email campaigns, and other digital platforms, ensuring effective use to maximize reach, engagement, and impact.
- Collaborate with leadership, in-house design teams, and partner with Life Science Corporate communications business and creative partners, and external agencies to develop high-quality content, including, but not limited to, messaging, newsletters, articles, and video scripts for CTS organization and leadership.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to enhance content quality and visual appeal.
- Curate content to align with CTS and Life Science Services engagement priorities, reinforce cultural values, and support Employee Engagement activities, including moderating events and panel discussions.
- Oversee and manage the CTS communications budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation through forecasting, reporting, and identifying opportunities for optimization and improved impact.
This role will be located in the US, with a preference for Rockville, MD.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a communications-related role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives.
- Experience managing multiple projects while maintaining deadlines and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global, matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on internal and knowledge of external communication strategies across multiple channels.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Video production experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms such as Viva Engage, LinkedIn, and internal email systems.
