Your Role:
As a Senior Lab Technician – Customs Immunology, our activities will support assay development through commercial application of new and innovative service offerings within the biosafety testing space. You are responsible for the scientific integrity of technical work performed in the laboratory, and are required to make scientific observations, maintain detailed workbooks/documentation and ensure all documentation fulfills generally accepted professional/industry standards. Requirements also include maintaining a thorough understanding of company testing services, technical principles and applications as they apply to your position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead in managing reagents and consumable inventories
- Documents tasks in compliance with SOPs and regulations (cGMP and GLP) as required
- Identify problems and troubleshoot as appropriate
- Serve as a lead for lab technicians and as a back up to the lab supervisor
- Maintains a standard condition of the facility through daily cleaning
- Ensures availability of lab supplies and orders supplies as required
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment and supplies as required
- Labels petrie dishes and other supplies as needed
- Processes samples, ships inventory and maintains temperature records
- Complies with health and safety regulations
- Cross-trains as required and assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology) with 1 + year of scientific/laboratory experience
- High School diploma or GED with 2 + years of scientific/laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- GMP environment
- Basic skills in applicable computer programs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Math up to and including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Pay Range for this position - $24/hr - $37/hr
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
