Your Role:

 

As the Supply Chain Supervisor 2 - Logistics, you will organize and supervise the flow of inventory in and out of the assigned facility in addition to direct supervision to relevant personnel (Material Handlers, Lab Techs, Associates and/or Specialists) in the department. You may also supervise higher level individual contributors and large projects or functions.  Tasks include oversight and overall management of the department and responsibility for associated metrics. The  Supply Chain Supervisor 2 - Logistics is responsible for the integrity of department processes to ensure they meet quality specifications, regulations and operational requirements. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage, evaluate and maintain physical and system inventories in line with agreed quality/regulatory compliance (e.g. segregation, temperature control) and provide traceability through maintenance of accurate system transactions (utilizing the company’s ERP and/or LIMS database)
  • Manages and performs as needed the receiving, storage, order fulfillment and shipping activities in accordance with SOPs and regulations (cGMP, GLP, trade compliance, etc.)
  • Maintains working knowledge of applicable safety, quality, trade compliance and/or logistics regulations for receipt, storage, distribution and shipment of materials
  • Creates, reviews and revises SOPs and policies pertaining to responsibilities
  • Interacts with all levels of the company, employees, external vendors and clients. Anticipates/addresses issues as appropriate
  • Provides direct supervision to relevant Supply Chain personnel (Material Handlers, Lab Techs, Associates and/or Specialists).  Meets with direct reports to set goals, conduct regular one-on-one discussions with employees, ensure development plans are in place for all employees, address personnel issues promptly, interview and hire new candidates and complete performance reviews fairly and on-time
  • Responsible for departmental training, ensuring training modules are up to date and training matrix reflects staff capabilities
  • Participates in regulatory inspections and client audits
  • Champions, leads and/or participates as an SME in site wide or global department initiatives including Quality systems improvements, SOP revisions, Lean Six Sigma projects, etc.
  • May have operational responsibility for multiple functions
  • Ensures compliance with company health and safety regulations and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s Degree with 2+ years of supply chain or logistics experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 + years of supply chain or logistics experience

OR

  • High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of supply chain or logistics experience
  • 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Valid drivers license

 

Physical Attributes

  • Lift, push, pull or move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain
  • Relevant working knowledge and related experience in a leadership or supervisor capacity
  • Life Science and Supply Chain experience 
  • General logistics and shipping experience (international a plus)
  • Intermediate skills in applicable computer programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that have been demonstrated through presentations/seminars, oversight of projects, implementation of new services, etc.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly collaborative as well as independent
  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative and leadership capabilities
  • Effective supervisory, coaching and training skills for complex and highly technical work

 

Pay Range for this position - $85,200 - $127,800

 

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
