Technical Consultant - Toxicology

Your role:

 

The Technical Consultant is a primary scientific resource for MilliporeSigma’ s Toxicology services and will be responsible for providing regulatory and scientific thought leadership to BioReliance Toxicology Services customers on a global basis. This position is responsible for promoting the scientific and regulatory expectations of technical work in Toxicology and for ensuring the testing solutions needs of clients are met or exceeded.  The Technical Consultant will interact with Sponsors or clients to present and interpret results.  The position will work to identify emerging assays, technology trends, custom requirements and support troubleshooting that will grow the business from the Toxicology accounts. To further the commercial goals of the department, the position may support the team by serving as scientific direction in the roles of Study Director or Contributing Scientist for commercial or R&D studies for which the Technical Consultant is uniquely trained. The job holder will work in collaboration with Sales & Marketing, Study Management, Operations, and Quality Assurance. 

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Life Sciences relevant scientific field (i.e. Biology, Biotechnology, etc.) 
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in Genetic Toxicology

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry experience in a pharmaceutical or Contract Research Organization (CRO) based Toxicology group
  • Experience within a regulated environment and ability to interact effectively with regulatory agencies
  • Strong interpersonal experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams and individuals
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • As “voice of the expert”, provide effective communication and working relationships with customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates strong client facing skills
