Your role: In this role, you will act as the business partner and counsel for data privacy in Spain and Italy. In coordination with the company's global Group Data Privacy team, you will implement, maintain and improve the Data Privacy Management System locally. You will support and coordinate the local roll-out of for example global policies, processes, and guidelines and data privacy awareness training. You will identify and manage risks related to data privacy, advise and report to the senior management and serve as the primary contact in data privacy issues. In addition, you will assess local legal trends and you will work with the competent authorities in relevant cases. You will guide to the departments of the company on, among others, the documentation in our ROPA, creating broader awareness, and negotiating with external partners and customers. Being an active member of the wider community of data privacy practitioners and network within the Company, you will liaise with internal key stakeholders and the Data Privacy Office.

 

Who you are:

 

  • You have a University degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
  • You have at least 10 -12 years of job experience with a minimum of 5 - 7 years in Data Privacy, preferably in a large company or law firm, within international /matrix organization environment.
  • You have proven Data Privacy experience and a strong level of knowledge in the European GDPR and the Italian as well as preferable the Spanish Data Privacy laws.
  • You are a strong communicator (verbally/written) and have great interpersonal and presentations skills.
  • You possess strong business orientation and good ability to interact with the senior management and other stakeholders.
  • You have a proven track record of working under pressure and a pragmatic and team-oriented / problem-solving working style.
  • You are business fluent in Italian & English; conversational skills in Spanish are preferred.
