Your Role:
A great opportunity has opened as a Metrology Technician at our Round Rock location. In this role you will be responsible for performing calibration activities and temperature mapping while ensuring that these activities are aligned with site quality standards. Specific responsibilities include:
- Calibrate and maintain equipment per site requirements
- Review calibration certificates generated by suppliers for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain calibration schedule in equipment database to avoid any overdue events
- Support quality engineer in equipment qualification and commissioning activities
- Perform temperature mapping of controlled storage units and support temperature monitoring and review
- Perform review and approval of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and company quality requirements
- Regularly communicate with the QA management any problems and concerns that may delay or lead to the failure of the completion of projects, qualifications, validations, or other quality issues
- Support rollout of local and corporate initiatives
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life Science Discipline
OR
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years Metrology experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with installation and troubleshooting of equipment and electronic devices
- Advanced proficiency in computer systems, including Excel, Word, and Minitab
- Solid understanding of fundamental metrology concepts, including temperature control, cooling systems, mapping, and calibration
- Prior work experience in an ISO environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside contacts
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
