Location:
The Megasy Operations Manager is an on-site position in Santa Clara, CA with occasional domestic travel to support business needs.
Your Role:
The Megasys Operations Manager leads a team of ~50 people responsible for Gas and Chemical operations. This role is responsible for long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company's overall goals. The Megasys Operations Manager drives cross-team collaboration to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities. In this role you will inspire and motivate employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives. You identify opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market and are responsible for communicating shifting company priorities and projects with the team, customer, or other senior officials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits.
- Identifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue
- Drive the 5S, Safety, Quality, and development of the team and area under your control.
- Team Leader for your area and strong vision for moving the organization in the goals, values and mission of the organization.
- Customer Interaction and interface to maintain, develop and create long lasting relationships.
Who you Are:
You have the ability to communicate with both executives and staff employees in order to create and administer policy. You have a thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles to assess the company's earnings and spending to find areas for improvement. You have strong personal and professional judgment, that are applied for hiring decisions as well as in finding the best solution to organizational dilemmas. You are adaptable with ability to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly. You have strong organizational and time-management skills with the flexibility to jump from priority to priority, which are essential to a role that juggles a variety of functions and projects. You can think strategically and see the "big picture" to address top-level concerns pro-actively when possible. You have worked in environments with sensitive information and demonstrated professional discretion, and informational controls to ensure confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree +5 years with experience in industrial, automotive, or petroleum manufacturing or similar industry, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- 3+ years of Senior Supervisor, Operations Manager or Department Management experience
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified in OSHA10 or OSHA30
- Experience using lean manufacturing, 6S, Six-Sigma, and Problem-Solving techniques.
- Proven experience in recruiting, professional development, and team building
- Project management experience
- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
Pay Range for this position: $136,800 - $205,200
Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data.
