Your Role:

EMD Electronics is immediately hiring for an Experienced Logistics Lead Technician for its MEGASYS® team in Santa Clara, Ca. This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business.

 

MEGASYS® offers specialized services in managing gases, chemicals and slurries, where our technicians and engineers provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments.

 

In the MEGASYS® Shift Lead Role, you will oversee technicians’ daily activities essential in ensuring the supply of chemicals and gases necessary for producing chips used in various electronic devices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily activities of shipping, receiving, and transports between buildings.
  • Support activities on the floor such as vendor operations, inventory, restocking, picking, shipping, returns and disposals as well as responsible to report management of any floor issues and concerns.
  • Develop and maintain daily schedules. Coordinate daily work with supervisors, managers, and customer requirements.
  • Train new hire and existing technicians on all Logistic procedures and set department goals based on company expectations.
  • Manage employee attendance record, come in/leave time reporting, and hazmat driver supervision.
  • Deliver performance reports on a weekly basis on employee performance.
  • Maintain standards for safety within the facility. This includes inspecting work areas and equipment, promptly responding to reports of incident, and making sure that areas are free of clutter and other hazards.
  • Ensure team understands management expectations and consistently meet or exceed expectations.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and preventing team from falling behind during high-order volume time periods.
  • Participate in staff trainings and evaluation to ensure safety is primary goal to achieve high level of customer service.
  • Work with leadership team to design and tailor logistics processes including customer facing and back-office procedures.
  • Communicate with team members and management to resolve customer issues and answer questions.
  • Develop and update metrics to quantify performance in logistics operations.
  • Prepare daily passdown and briefings in support of logistics operations.
  • Attend customer meetings to communicate ongoing issues, projects and sustaining activities.
  • Support of quality systems to prevent incidents.
  • Primary communication point to customer.

 

Schedule:

Technicians are scheduled onsite Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.

 

Physical Attributes:

  • 75% of time walking throughout the facility (3-5 miles per day).
  • Climbing of ladders up to 12-foot-tall (utilizing fall protection).
  • Basic lifting (up to 40lbs).
  • Bending of the knees and overhead reaching.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years' experience in a semiconductor, chemical, or other manufacturing setting

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline
  • 1+ years internal experience on the MEGASYS Team
  • Awareness of six sigma techniques
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
  • Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Awareness of ISO9000 / ISO9001 and/or ISO14001
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to plan and prioritize activities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills and Root Cause Analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, 4M, 5M or 6M)
  • Understanding of Health and Safety practices (Strong OSHA, DOT or COI Experience

Pay Range for this position: $26-$40/hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
