Your Role:
The Quality Specialist works within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product or service and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests, and defining the criteria a test result should meet. They play a key role in investigating and fixing issues when they arise. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining company inspection reports for safety and quality
- Auditing operations and maintenance areas according to quality and safety standards
- Ensuring processes and procedures comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law
- Validating all test equipment is calibrated and working correctly
- Reporting quality and safety issues immediately via the escalation process
- Performing root cause investigations, developing CAPA
- Drive the implementation of corrective actions
- Collating test data and drafting quality and safety reports and presentations
- Presenting status updates to customers
- Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes and safety
- Ensuring Operations is executing their task with Safety and Quality on each shift

Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years’ experience in a quality role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Experience working in Quality Assurance
- Awareness of six sigma techniques
- OSHA 10 or equivalent experience
- High-level of visual awareness
- Advanced organizational skills
- Experience drafting reports and collating data
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Awareness of ISO9000 / ISO9001
- Understanding of ISO14001
- Knowledge of measurement
- Understanding of engineering drawings
- Understanding manufacturing processes
- Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
- Experience planning and prioritizing activities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving skills and Root Cause Analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, 4M, 5M or 6M)
- Understanding of Health and Safety practices (Strong OSHA, DOT or COI Experience)
- Analytical skills
Pay Range for this position - $39-$60/hour
