Sr. Manager, Innovation Collaboration, CHINA
Your role:
- In China Innovation Hub, responsible for foresight, e.g. developing business case to explore, define, and validate meaningful innovative fields cross or beyond sectors of Biopharmaceuticals and Life Science, including but not limited to organoid and AI health.
- Within defined innovation fields, responsible for scouting external projects and partnership with relevant startups and universities.
- Source and execute deals for China seeding fund across fields of healthcare, life science, performance materials, and relevant emerging biotechnology.
- Lead and drive transaction of external projects and partnerships to contract, including but not limited to business case development, negotiation, cross-functional coordination, and due diligence management.
- Engage external partners and internal stakeholders to achieve the envisioned goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within China innovation eco-system like universities, incubators, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s competitive landscape in Life Science and Biopharmaceuticals.
- Work closely with peers in the sectors and the Innovation Centers in Germany and US to further add value to the business.
Who you are:
- PhD in medical relevant field, PhD in biotechnology, or MD with physician experience is required.
- Fluent Mandarin and English for verbal and written communications is required.
- MBA is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of venture investment, business development, or management consulting, in the fields of healthcare, life sciences, or biotechnology is required.
- Deal negotiation and execution experience is required.
- Extensive network of scientists, key opinion leaders, investors, and/or entrepreneurs active in the fields of life science, biopharmaceuticals, and healthcare is required.
- Experience in biotechnology investment, especially deals relevant to life science and/or medical device is highly preferred.
- Experience of physician, medical affair or medical sales, especially in oncology is highly preferred.
- Network of entrepreneurs, investors, professors, and physicians in oncology is highly preferred.
- Business case experience is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Strong data and information analysis skills
- Self-motivated and pro-active
- Position requires both domestic and international travel up to 30% of time
