Lead Expert, Licensing & Business Development

 

Your role:

The mission of the Licensing & Business Development Team is to advance the goals of Applied Solutions through licensing, strategic partnerships and collaborations.  We work closely with Marketing and R&D to identify, evaluate, negotiate and execute on technologies and products.  This position will specifically focus on supporting the Applied Business Unit in the APAC region.  We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has a background in Life Science licensing.

Who you are:  

Your role covers a wide range of activities and projects.  Main focus areas include:  technology acquisitions, in-licensing, managing collaborations, and co-development and partnerships.  Responsibilities include working with outside partners and developing those key relationships; negotiating terms; building a business case which includes cash flow models; working with Legal and Patents on relevant agreements; managing projects within multiple Company databases.

  • Ph.D. or M.S in life sciences, MBA preferred
  • Experience in licensing specifically in the Life Science marketplace strongly preferred.
  • At least 4 years’ experience involving Business Development, Product Development, Marketing, or R&D
  • 25-30% Travel
  • Strong networking and analytical skills; excellent written, oral communication and presentation and influencing skills
  • Team player with the ability to work  independently with a remote team
