Project Coordinator

Your role

  • Actively support project work, working closely with the China Office members to grow into project management roles
    • Support desk research & analysis
    • Support creation of story flows & appealing presentations
    • Collaborate with multiple internal, external stakeholders to help drive project progress
  • Manage China Country Council in alignment with Head of Merck China Office and Country Speaker
    • Manage guiding documents (org setup, purpose, desired outcome etc.)
    • Create annual roadmap and schedule meetings, ensuring participation of crucial stakeholders, including ad-hoc focus sessions on specific topics
    • Prepare meetings from agenda to venue and facilitate efficiently
    • Manage pre-reads, presentations and accurate meeting minutes
  • Coordinate VIP visits and overarching events in China
  • Provide admin support to the Merck China Office team, including but not limited to
    • Meeting and logistics preparation
    • Collaboration with group functions like finance, procurement, legal and others for vendor setup, PO application, payment arrangements, contract sign up, etc.
    • Plan and organize team off-site meeting/team building activities
  • Continuously develop your skills in the strategy & project management domain, including regular on- and off-the-job self-teaching, trainings, learning courses using digital & classical tools

 

Who you are

  • Bachelor degree in business administration or another field combined with a business qualification/on-the-job experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience working with MNCs with a comparable set of responsibilities
  • Experience with chemicals, healthcare and life science industry is a plus
  • Ambition and drive to further develop and grow yourself
  • Strong work ethic with high level of commitment
  • Efficient, result-oriented work style
  • Multi-tasking ability and strong self-motivation
  • Team player with good communication & networking skills across all hierarchy levels
  • Ability and willingness to effectively collaborate with varying internal stakeholders
  • Basic skills in building presentations using MS PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge in MS Excel, Word
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English
  • Ability to logically connect diverse inputs
