Your Role:

  • Support the development, maintenance and improvement of quality systems including document control and ensure their alignment with business goals, premier customer expectations/requirements and global business unit best practices in alignment with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Facilitate and/or support meetings including cross functional teams and client facing meetings.
  • Initiate and support Change Management deliverables.
  • Prepare and/or support reports/metrics for local management and customers.
  • Support continuous improvement activities.
  • Schedule, setup and perform routine assays according to established protocols. 
    • Review protocol and setup assays according to priority level.
    • Determine chemicals and quantities needed.
    • Select and prepare appropriate equipment and /or instrumentation.
    • Perform procedure independently and accurately according to an established protocol.
    • Complete the volume of work required to achieve departmental goals and meet the established deadlines.
    • Document and communicate status of assays and results. 
    • Interpret results accurately.
    • Communicate any aberrant observations with assay or assay results.  Decide (with a supervisor or designee) if adjustments are necessary.
    • Prepare accurate, complete, and legible records in accordance with established procedures. 
    • Prepare testing reagents (e.g. buffers, gels, standards, etc.) as needed
  • Ensure lab supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Ensure lab safety: following safety protocols to prevent accidents and contamination.  This includes handling chemicals with care, as well as maintaining proper disposal procedures for hazardous materials.   
  • Maintain (clean, calibrate, etc.) equipment.  Properly document and maintain records. 
  • Properly label chemicals and reagents with all needed quality documentation. 
  • Successfully complete required quality training and be trained to food safety program including Halal and Kosher requirements.
  • Assist with documentation for Kosher and Halal certified products.
  • Liaise with Rabbi and Islamic Council of America for Kosher and Halal approvals. 
  • Complete 21 CFR 117 food GMP audits of the facility weekly/monthly. 
  • Product and packaging release.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of lab experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry
