Your Role:

  • Leadership for a team of staff working within a production environment
  • Engages in problem solving and performance management within the business
  • Assist Supervisor and works in a lead technical capacity to maintain workflow in dept
  • Provides training and operational support to the department
  • Maintains high-quality work environment by sharing knowledge, experiences and motivation
  • Keeps supervisor informed of potential and/or existing concerns
  • Leads by example in performing core distribution job elements
  • Participates in and supports the development and implementation of process improvement projects and leads test cycles to challenge current practices
  • Use technical knowledge of S-A products and acquired knowledge of state and federal regulations and S-A business practices to respond to inquiries
  • Effectively uses reports and checks priorities to plan and coordinate orders to maintain high service levels
  • Troubleshoot problems within the department
  • Assist with testing changes in systemic programs and operational processes
  • Ability to analyze and maintain data within all applicable systems
  • Ability to identify and correct discrepancies between applicable systems
  • Perform quality checks or audits to ensure procedures are being followed correctly
  • Maintains orders, work areas and stock locations in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
  • Reports unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to any member of management
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and team building skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Shift/hours - 1st shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, M-F

 

 

Physical Attributes:

  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts
  • Wear appropriate protective gear, (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits,
      gloves, safety shoes) and other personal protection equipment “PPE”
  • The work area may occasionally be wet, humid, abnormally hot or cold.
  • Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch or crawl
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted / more than 50 pounds with assistance
  • Close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus regularly
  • Uses phones, computers, computer monitors and all office/laboratory equipment

 

Who You Are:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of department experience for in depth product knowledge

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vocational training/Associates degree
  • Ability to operate PCs, printers, RF scanner, pallet jack, selecting carts, packing equipment (tape machines, etc.), and various cutting instruments
  • SAP, WMS, Word, Excel, Access, Clipper-ship experience
  • Knowledge of product flow throughout the packaging/warehousing process
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with all levels of staff both orally and written
  • Previous team leadership experience
