Your Role:

 

At MilliporeSigma in Sheboygan Falls, WI, we are seeking a Production Scientist to safely and efficiently manufacture or evaluate products according to established protocols, provide technical support to others, and perform operations in support of the group and department. As a Production Scientist at MilliporeSigma, you will interface with multiple manufacturing departments and sites within the organization, quality teams, and teams working on new product introductions. Additional responsibilities include:

 

  • Perform advanced and diverse manufacturing operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment
  • Meet production goals while maintaining rigorous quality standards and documentation
  • Support all aspects of the manufacturing area, including equipment, materials, and inventory
  • Communicate operational updates and deviations effectively across teams and to leadership
  • Engage in inter-departmental projects and external quality audits
  • Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous process improvements
  • Develop and refine operating procedures and train team members
  • Conduct and analyze product evaluations to ensure specifications are met

 

Physical Attributes

 

  • Wear an air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals
  • Work in occasional wet, humid abnormally hot or cold environment
  • Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of time
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Work with and in proximity of hazardous chemicals
  • Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Use a range of office, laboratory, and manufacturing equipment
  • Work near moving mechanical parts

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of independent lab research or industrial work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Safe chemical handling methods
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality standards
