Investment Projects and Bioprocess Systems Field Marketing Specialist - APAC

The large investment projects team in Asia is part of the End-to-End Processing Solutions Technology organization. The team covers single-use and multi-use processing technologies, equipment and consumables as well as large investment projects in Asia. It is a team of highly motivated and experienced experts that works with the commercial organization and sales support functions on all levels.  It drives technology and investment projects to accelerate our business growth and creates additional value for our customers and our organization.

Role & Responsibilities:

You will lead impactful business driven field marketing programs and initiatives around Bioprocessing Single Use and Multi use Systems, late phase engineering services to successful implementation through collaboration, project identification, planning, communication, and governance. Develop robust tactical plan and go to market strategies incorporating alternative solutions and innovative approaches. 

As a field marketing leader for commercial sales and sales business development, you monitor and report market potentials in APAC region, identify future sales opportunities and collaborate with sales in developing tactical plan for these opportunities.

You will act as subject matter expert for your area internally in APAC, globally and externally for customer & influencers (i.e A&E’s, Consultants, Government Bodies, End User ). Perform relevant Thought Leadership activities.

 In this role, you will build and manage strong working relationships with stakeholders and partner with other functional areas across the organization to drive a diverse range programs designed to grow our business.

You will work collaboratively with your peers in N.A and EMEA.

Proactively act as important market pipeline to the regional and global groups (sales development, sales, marketing organization, MSAT, technology management).

Identify fields for innovation and demonstrate potential for new markets, for new products and new applications and give access to relevant key contact partners at the customer side.

Identify, visit and rate regional and local events.

Transmit all relevant information to the commercial sales teams (account manager), LIP-SUMU SD team, TM, FS and E2E Biodevelopment team .

You demonstrate excellent business acumen and are a recognized subject matter expert in at least two fields.  Additionally, you possess exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation  skills.

Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years related experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry in international environment
  • Advanced technical degree (in life-science or engineering)
  • Knowledge about the Pharma/Biopharm market, competition, products and services needed, preferably including APAC
  • Field marketing or experience in a sales support function
  • Experience in bioprocessing systems and sale cycle management
  • Extensive experience in large investment projects sales, single-use and multi-use technologies, equipment and materials and engineering service
  • Marketing and project life cycle experience
  • Networking professional with existing industry network
  • Language: English business fluent – a second or third language would be an advantage
  • Willing to travel in APAC and globally (> 40%)

 

Additional Details / Notes

Role & Responsibility details:

According to the global marketing plans and in close collaboration with our different sales & sales support teams:

(i) Break down the global strategies to regional and local marketing plans, tactics and actions. Support MarCom for local activities

(ii) Develop and execute general trainings in conjunction with training organization (e.g. Single-use technology, Hardware & systems, project sales)

(iv) Drive and track development of regional and local growth potential through network and market insight

(v) Perform customer visits together with sales, SD, and other key partners

(vi) Recommend quick wins & cross-selling opportunities to the local sales teams and Key Account Managers (across our product portfolio)

(vii) Proactively act as first “technical consultant” or “application expert” to support our Investment Projects and Bioprocessing Systems business

(viii) Execute regional and local field marketing content and sales force training

 In collaboration with our global partners:

  1. Identify new “products and approaches of interest” for the customers
  2. Identify new business and application fields at the customers on a regional and global level
  3. Be the active local input channel to the global marketing for the creation of future annual marketing plans
