Your Role:
 

At MilliporeSigma, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all types of equipment including but not limited to rotating mechanical systems, clean utilities including USP and WFI water systems, chemical processing equipment, GMP clean rooms, HVAC systems, and other Electromechanical systems to ensure proper operation, performance, and compliance.   The Technician will routinely use the Trackwise (QMS), SAP (CMMS), Meridian (drawing repository), Delta V (DCS), Siemens (BMS), and the tools of the trade for maintenance, alarm management, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment.

 

  • Work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented, team environment.
  • Maintain records to comply with Good Documentation Practice requirements to include detailed documentation of work performed in both electronic and written form.
  • Utilize SAP (CMMS), Trackwise (QMS), Drawings, Delta V (DCS), Siemens (BMS), and other tools of the trade for work management, alarm management, troubleshooting, and repairing of GMP equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and system performance checks on all types of equipment supporting the GMP operations at the Cherokee site. 
  • Support Engineering with performance and reliability improvements.
  • Follow prescribed safety and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing groups to ensure strict compliance with GMP guidelines and documentation to ensure that the equipment is maintained in GMP compliance.
  • Work with contract service providers and supports contractors executing maintenance activities.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and alarms throughout the GMP facilities as needed.
  • Must demonstrate Good Documentation Practices and communication skills.

 

Who You Are
 

Minimum Qualifications:
 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  •  3+ years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience

 

OR

 

  • Associate Degree in HVAC, Mechanical Technology, or other technical Discipline
  • 1+ years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience
     

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Understanding of good documentation practices (GDP).
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Working knowledge of the tools and materials of Industrial maintenance, repair of mechanical rotating equipment, maintaining water systems, industrial electric and instrumentation, and the ability to perform multiple types of industrial maintenance and repair, predictive and reliability tasks, and other duties as assigned.
  • Experience in machining, pipefitting, electrical, repair of rotating equipment.
  • Ability to problem solve & troubleshoot systems, and independently plan & organize daily task.
