Your Role
As the LSPS Regional Deployment Lead, you will serve as a change agent for the implementation of our Production System at manufacturing sites and distribution centers within a specific region. Your role is crucial to the successful activation of the Production System across our Integrated Supply Chain & Operations (ISCO) network, a key priority of our ISCO Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
You will lead initial LSPS deployment activities, being accountable for transformation progress and driving capability building according to deployment methodology standards. Your objective is to enable local LSPS teams to autonomously multiply LSPS deployment after your initial support.
Deployment Activities (80%):
- Site Preparation and Change Management: Oversee preparation activities, manage change, and facilitate communication.
- Kick-off & Training Bootcamp: Conduct initial training sessions to equip teams with necessary skills.
- Diagnostics and Maturity Assessment: Perform LSPS maturity assessments and prioritize LSPS elements for implementation, considering effort and impact for tactical improvement initiatives.
- Tactical Improvement Plans: Define related Tactical Improvement Plans, including capability building.
- Implementation and Continuous Improvement: Implement improvements and develop a site-specific LSPS continuous improvement and expansion plan.
Coaching and Mentorship:
After the initial deployment, you will continue to coach, support, and mentor your sites throughout their continuous improvement and multi-year LSPS journey. This includes conducting progress reviews to ensure sustainability, expansion, and overall site maturity, thereby supporting the respective Site Strategy.
Global Element Ownership (20%):
In addition to deployment activities, you will play a vital role in the LSPS Community by assuming the responsibilities of a Global Element Owner and Single Point of Contact for a selected element. This includes:
- Element Standards: Continuously improve LSPS content and standards related to your specific element, including guidebooks, training materials, and maturity assessments.
- Global Engagement: Participate in LSPS Global Community Meetings and collaborate with experts worldwide.
- SME Leadership: Act as the global subject matter expert for your element, fostering a network of local Site SMEs.
- Workshops and Training: Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance capabilities within the network.
St. Louis, MO is the preferred location for this role but Milwaukee, WI and Burlington, MA will be considered as well.
Who you are:
Minimum qualifications:
- BS degree with 8-12 yrs experience, MS degree with 6-8 yrs experience, PhD 5-8 with yrs
- Experience in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Process Engineering
- Lean Six Sigma Belt certification required
Preferred qualifications:
- 7-10 years of demonstrated track record in Supply Chain Operations preferred with experience in implementing improvement initiatives with impactful results, preferably in a leading position
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- Experience in deployment of holistic production systems preferred
- Project Management certification preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, results-driven mentality, experience in leading teams (leading without authority), capable to zoom in and out (big picture and detail mindset)
- Ability to partner with multiple leadership teams to define production system maturity roadmaps
- Ability to lead professionals with diverse skills and competencies spanning business and technical – located remotely and develop people in their capability to deploy new standards broadly
- Ability to analyze complex issues using critical thinking, problem solving, sound judgment skills and escalate timely
- Ability to lead and execute complex process improvement projects
- Strong orchestration skills across the network
- Financial acumen demonstrated through budgeting experience
- Ability to sense risks in the overall plan by integrating multiple data inputs across the value stream for the region
- Engaging ability to lead in-person and virtual workshops covering topics such as Leadership Practices, Value Stream Mapping, 6s, Kaizen events, Problem Solving, Process mapping, etc.
