Your Role
As the Maintenance Coordinator for our Dekalb facility, you will lead the planning and procurement efforts essential to maintaining a reliable and efficient production environment. This role demands a proactive leader to oversee the MRO storeroom, manage strategic procurement for maintenance services, and orchestrate complex contractor schedules. By integrating technical expertise with logistical precision, you will ensure our facility operates at peak performance while driving continuous improvement and mentorship across the team.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all contracted maintenance activities for both planned and emergency events
- Act as the site owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all MRO storeroom operations and inventory
- Serve as the lead buyer for maintenance goods and services, managing everything from specialized service contracts to routine purchases
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance, facilities, and engineering processes
- Develop and manage comprehensive repair plans to proactively eliminate equipment failures and maximize reliability
- Mentor and coach technicians and other buyers to foster professional development and technical growth
- Document all equipment work and manage preventive maintenance data within the SAP CMMS to ensure high data integrity
- Support audit readiness by providing necessary documentation and addressing findings as needed
- Execute key operational tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager to meet facility goals

- Use hands and/or feet to operate equipment
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Wear an air helmet, mask, safety shoes, apron rubber and Tyvek suits, protective gloves, safety glasses and/or goggles
- Work at varying heights
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License
- Associate degree or Trade school degree in Engineering, Maintenance, Business, or Finance
OR
- High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years’ experience in planning/scheduling maintenance activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of various health and safety codes
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience in aspects of project management, including obtaining permits
- Working Knowledge of SAP CMMS and cGMP practices
- Lean Training or Six Sigma Certification
Pay Range for this position - $32.00-$50.00/hourly
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
