Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the Manufacturing Technician 3 – Night Shift at our Cherokee Site, located at 3300 S. Second Ave, St. Louis, will work on departmental projects to ensure that both departmental and corporate objectives are met while implementing improvements. This role involves collaborating with team members to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the overall success of the manufacturing process. Job duties include:
- Production shifts consist of 12-hour shifts (6:00PM - 6:30 AM) with a two-week rotation: Week 1 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday) and Week 2 (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday).
- Operate and demonstrate working knowledge of specialized equipment and systems, including Powered Industrial Equipment, Reactor systems, Industrial Centrifuges, Ion Exchange Columns, and DCS systems, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of product flow through the manufacturing process.
- Lead by example in core manufacturing job elements, meet or exceed performance expectations, and actively engage in problem-solving and performance management within the team's business area.
- Provide training and share knowledge and experiences with new and current personnel to maintain a high-quality work environment and motivate team members.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas, adhere to all health and safety guidelines, and immediately report unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to management.
- Proactively troubleshoot problems within the department, including performing root cause analysis and developing effective solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Participate in and support the development and implementation of process improvement projects, including testing new cycles to enhance system efficiency and compliance.
- Consistently keep the supervisor informed of potential and/or existing concerns, and ensure exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule and company requirements.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1.5 + years of work experience in a chemical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other life science manufacturing environment.
OR
- Associate Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other Life Science discipline.
- 1 + years of work experience in a chemical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other life science manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP, Word, Excel, and Access.
- Effectively communicate in a professional manner with all levels of staff, both orally and in writing.
- Collaborate successfully in a group setting.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Work efficiently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving and team-building skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
- Pay Range for this position: $24.00-$41.00 per hour.
- The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
