Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the Manufacturing Technician 4 will mix and process various biological compounds according to established protocols and perform operations in support of the group.
- Shift: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm.
- Complete all documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices as dictated by internal policies.
- Communicate status of processes, products, and equipment to the team.
- Complete a thorough and accurate batch record at the conclusion of production operations consistent with quality guidelines.
- Work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or hazardous chemicals, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Attributes:
- Lift, push, and/or pull up to 40 pounds.
- Sit, stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
- Utilize close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and adjust focus.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as an air helmet, mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, protective gloves, and or chemical resistant suit.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years’ of work experience in a chemical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other life science manufacturing environment.
OR
- Associate Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other Life Science discipline.
- 1+ years’ of work experience in a chemical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other life science manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of chemistry, math, and general science.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
