Your Role:
At Millipore Sigma, the Project Engineer will manage capital projects from inception to validation for the St. Louis engineering group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement engineering solutions to internal customer problems and opportunities.
- Provide project management and engineering on small to medium capital projects from initiation through start-up and closure documentation using project management models.
- Develop project requirements, schedules and manage all project costs. Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Procure necessary contractors, materials, and equipment to support projects.
- Support departmental process improvement efforts based on annual objectives.
- Read and interpret internal and external regulatory agencies’ policies, codes, standards and regulations
- Align project support resources to ensure timeliness of deliverables and escalate when necessary.
- Effectively communicate project status updates to various disciplines at different levels within the organization.
- Create or manage the creation of engineering/construction bid packages. Manage construction work in support of projects.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- 2+ years of work experience in design engineering, project management, or industrial/pharmaceutical production.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience working with ISO and cGMP regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with best practices of maintenance and reliability.
- Experience with chemical, mechanical, piping and HVAC preferred.
- Working knowledge of GMP standards.
- Self-motivated, responsible and team orientated individual.
