Your Role:

At Millipore Sigma, the Project Engineer will manage capital projects from inception to validation for the St. Louis engineering group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement engineering solutions to internal customer problems and opportunities.
• Provide project management and engineering on small to medium capital projects from initiation through start-up and closure documentation using project management models.  
• Develop project requirements, schedules and manage all project costs.  Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Procure necessary contractors, materials, and equipment to support projects. 
• Support departmental process improvement efforts based on annual objectives. 
• Read and interpret internal and external regulatory agencies’ policies, codes, standards and regulations
• Align project support resources to ensure timeliness of deliverables and escalate when necessary.
• Effectively communicate project status updates to various disciplines at different levels within the organization.
• Create or manage the creation of engineering/construction bid packages. Manage construction work in support of projects.

Who You Are: 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
• 2+ years of work experience in design engineering, project management, or industrial/pharmaceutical production.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience working with ISO and cGMP regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with best practices of maintenance and reliability.
• Experience with chemical, mechanical, piping and HVAC preferred.
• Working knowledge of GMP standards.
• Self-motivated, responsible and team orientated individual.
