Your Role:
The Production Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating raw materials orders, raw material inventory, finished order processing, supply room stocking and ordering, and equipment maintenance activities to keep production operating on schedule.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am -3:30pm (occasional overtime)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support production operations
- Coordinate/order/stage products according to current manufacturing procedures/BOMs
- Transport chemicals and equipment to and from processing areas

- Ensure quality and quantity of product at beginning and end of production/SAP process. Notify chemist/supervisor of discrepancies for SAP gain/loss update
- Coordinate appropriate disposal of waste and complete compliance documentation
- Act as manufacturing representative to multiple departments, including warehouse, packaging, and quality control
- Maintain overhead chemical inventory
- Maintain common consumables inventory
- Monitor quarantine/release status of materials
- 6S/organize areas as required
- Perform regular equipment maintenance activities including monthly pH probe maintenance and pipette calibration coordination
- Perform Environmental Monitoring testing
- Communicate and document status of processes, products, and equipment
- Communicate the status of products/operations/equipment and bring deviations to the attention of supervisor/manager

- Utilize SAP in an appropriate and efficient manner (Inventory, raw materials, etc)
- Ensure all applicable log books have been filled out completely as required by current procedures and complete review. Perform yearly change over of log book pages
- Support manufacturing and packaging indirect purchases
- Obtain quotations from outside vendors
- Utilize Ariba catalogs for ordering
- Submit expense reports for p-card purchases
- Follow-up to ensure invoices are paid
- Manage Stockrooms and custom order supplies
- Participate in stock room inventory excluding PPE
- Create orders for needed stock in stockroom and office supplies
- Place materials on shelves upon arrival
- Create orders for needed supplies for custom manufacturing and packaging
- Coordinate equipment repairs and calibrations owned by manufacturing and packaging and all on site pipettes
- Obtain quotes from vendors
- Schedule calibration or repair service or send equipment out as needed
- Perform operations in compliance with rules and in a safe, orderly manner
- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times

- Label all in-process equipment and containers properly
- Take the necessary action to resolve any unsafe conditions
- Participate in required safety and quality training and other related activities
- Maintain good housekeeping in office and working areas
- Improve manufacturing processes through application of experience and scientific and operational excellence principles
- Participate in applicable process improvements under the guidance of a supervisor, manager and/or scientist
Physical Attributes
- May sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl for short periods of time
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and more than 50 pounds assisted and apply significant force to push or pull objects occasionally
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment, “PPE,” including but not limited to hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical-resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes
- Involves the use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and adjusting focus
- Work area may occasionally be wet, humid, abnormally hot, or cold
- Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree
- SAP Experience
- Robust data entry skills
- Proficient at Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Knowledge in chemistry or biochemistry, math and general science
- Familiar with laboratory instruments and production equipment
