Senior EHS Specialist

Your Role:

To provide Safety, Environmental and Occupational Hygiene assistance to Site Management by helping prevent occupational injuries, illnesses and incidents, and comply with safety, environmental, and occupational hygiene regulatory requirements.  Review and maintain up to date Safety Programs; ensure Risk Assessments are being conducted; identify risk reduction methods and assist in implementing them; investigate incidents and injuries to closure of corresponding corrective actions; review manufacturing procedures where applicable; conduct safety inspections with Management; conduct EHS related training; audit LOTO, CSE, Hot Work and other safety related programs; interact routinely with Site Management, Supervision and Personnel on EHS related matters, to include collaborating with Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities on Project Work; prepare Site’s EHS compliance related reports; ensure Site’s Emergency Preparedness; participate in the Emergency Response Team.

 

Who You Are:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS (or equal) in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or other science related degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of EHS related experience in the chemical, specialty chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • CIH, CSP or CHMM certifications preferred.
