Together, we dream big and are passionate about caring for our rich mix of people, customers, patients, and planet. That's why we are always looking for curious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us.

Your Role:

You will work in a project-focused environment as a member of a multidisciplinary Process Development (PD) group responsible for developing and qualifying manufacturing and analytical methods to support new product introduction and optimize existing processes.  As a Senior Project Manager, you will independently manage your projects while being part of a sub-team of project managers within the larger Process Development group. This collaborative environment allows for sharing best practices and improvement ideas with other project managers working on similar projects.  This is a hybrid role with expectations for regular on-site presence, particularly during the initial months, to ensure thorough familiarization with the Operations sites you will be supporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Project Management: Take ownership of creating and managing the project task list and timeline. Proactively work to prevent timeline extensions and notify sponsors and stakeholders of any changes and their root causes.
  • Facilitate Communication: Bring together the direct project team, task owners, impacted Operations teams, sponsors, and stakeholders, including external customers, to ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the project.
  • Collaborate with Operations: Work closely with Operations to assess technical feasibility, transfer incoming processes, and troubleshoot issues that arise during the project. Ensure Operations understands the impact of new processes stemming from the project.
  • Manage Diverse Projects: Oversee projects involving the introduction of new products to our catalog, creation of custom products at customer request, transfer of processes from other internal sites, and optimization of existing processes.
  • Conduct Feasibility Assessments: Assess project feasibility in terms of costs, resource needs, and capital investment for both ongoing manufacturing and initial development, process onboarding, and qualification/validation work. Determine project requirements, build a task list and timeline, and provide this information to business teams to evaluate project viability and pricing.
  • Handle Administrative Responsibilities: Aid in master data management, manufacturing document creation, material management, change management, and equipment onboarding. While support may be available from the project team or other project managers, you will need to fill in gaps to complete these tasks.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemical or process engineering or a related discipline
  • PMP certification or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Experience using SAP
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
