Head of Research Sales

Your role:

 

This position is a critical position to manage Taiwan Research sales team and drive Research business to achieve sustainable above-market growth. The candidate will directly report to Head of Research Taiwan.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

         

  1. Lead Taiwan Research sales team to achieve the annual sales OP and beat the market growth.
  2. Manage KOL’s relationship and develop Merck’s brand awareness and reputation in the market with the support from the relevant supporting functions, like SECE, CE.
  3. Lead to define the growth strategy and drive the strategy implementation; including GTM strategy, product strategy and new business development etc.
  4. Manage the sales team’s daily activities, pipeline, forecast, reporting and drive sales efficiency improvement
  5. Develop the talent and succession pipeline to ensure a good team development

 

Who you are:

 

  1. Good sales management capability, especially for Research business; proved performance in the past
  2. Think strategically, Good skill and knowledge of developing and implementing thoughtful & explicit business plan
  3. Communicate (verbal/written/presentation) effectively with customers and internal stakeholders in both Chinese and English
  4. Self-motivated and good people manager
  5. Figures/facts driven working approach
  6. Strong problem-solving skills with well-organized documentation
  7. A “hands-on approach” to work and the ability to work under pressure

 

 

Education / Experience:

 

  1. Individual must have a bachelor degree or above in a biological or chemical related scientific field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of sales management experience in life science companies
  3. Proficiency in written and spoken English and fluency in local language.
  4. Good presentation & communication skill.
