Your Role:
We have a new position for an experienced Analytical Chemist at our facility in Tamaqua (Hometown), Pennsylvania. This analytical chemist will be responsible for supporting analytical for R&D efforts, operations and business area needs. The person in this role will development, transfer, and support of analytical methods for gases sold into the Electronics industry. A significant portion of the role will be hands-on analytical and project work. The role will involve new product development support, developing and transferring analytical methods into production facilities, addressing issues and questions from production laboratories, operations, quality and business area. The person in this role will work closely with R&D, vendors, and other experts inside and outside of the company. The position will be based at the company’s facility in the Hometown, PA, but they will also provide support globally. Great communications skills and the ability to work well in a multi-regional, multi-cultural environment and across multiple time zones are required. Regular communications will be held globally with analytical teams, operations management, engineering, business areas, and customers. There may be occasional travel.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.S. in Chemistry or related Scientific field
- 3+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory (professionally and/or academically)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or related Scientific field
- Knowledge and experience with a broad range of analytical tools, including GC, GC-MS, MS, FTIR and moisture analyzers.
- Experience in analytical methods development
- Strong fundamentals and practical experience in the use of statistics
- Great interpersonal skills
- Initiative and self-motivation.
- Good organizational skills and strong verbal and written communications
- Capable of carrying out team and self-directed projects.
