Your Role:

 

The basic function of this position is to provide leadership in organizing and directing the maintenance craft activities to safely achieve production and quality goals.  The maintenance supervisor ensures the daily assignments are understood and successfully completed.  The maintenance supervisor will ensure the crafts maintain a safe and clean work environment and are complying with site procedures and safety programs.  The maintenance crafts include mechanics, welders, electricians, and instrument technicians.

 

The position responsibilities include:

 

  • Solid understanding of the scope of work and status of each scheduled job.
  • Use diagrams, sketches, OEM manuals, and engineering specifications with basic troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to aid the maintenance crafts in repairing and maintaining equipment throughout the plant.
  • Work closely with maintenance planner/schedulers to fully develop an effective maintenance craft schedule that is aligned with current plant priorities.
  • Ensure stockroom materials used by the maintenance crafts are accurately transacted and reported discrepancies resolved in a timely manner.
  • Effectively represent and actively participate in the site safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreement.
  • Track and maintain employee records related to safety programs, attendance, overtime, certifications, licensing, and training.
  • Track and report maintenance KPI’s and defined CI initiatives.
  • Willing to be scheduled On-call for at least one weekend per month.

 

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Associate’s Degree in Automation Mechanical Design, or other maintenance/engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience. 

 

OR 

 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of work experience with industrial maintenance or chemical manufacturing.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a challenging, dynamic work environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP experience a plus.
